Stopped at Nosh Cafe for lunch today. I can’t resist their Cuban sandwich and potato salad & Loren decided to try the Po’ Boy and a bowl of chili.
Loren liked the Po’ Boy. It had lots of ham and roast beef and the chili made for a nice side. I’m not a big salami fan, but I really like the flavor of the kind they use here. Both plates were empty within no time.

We found ourselves in Montverde this afternoon and stopped at Green Mountain Pizza for a late afternoon sandwich. It’s a small pizza and sub shop and was packed with teenagers at 3pm. Luckily, we were able to grab a table and wolf down an Italian sub and a steak & cheese.
The bread smelled and tasted like it was right out of the oven. Yum! The Italian sub had lots of meats and veggies, but Loren thought it was missing something to tie it all together. The steak & cheese had the ooey, gooey goodness, but needed a little more seasoning to make it perfect. Overall though, not a bad lunch for $17 with a drink.

The Nosh Cafe recently opened where the Central Park Deli was in Oldsmar. They have a good sized sandwich menu and Loren went for a half Amore roast beef sandwich and chili combo.
He said it was ok. The sandwich had roast beef, garlic mayo, tomato and red onion & topped with melted Provolone on Cuban bread. Nothing out of the ordinary about it. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with a side of potato salad.
This is one of my new favorite sandwiches. It was so good. The meats on it had such a wonderful flavor. The Cuban bread was perfectly pressed and everything about it just worked. From the first bite to the last, I had happy taste buds. Even Loren said it was tasty. I liked the potato salad as well. We’ll definitely be back. Total bill with two drinks was $21.

We were headed out to John Chestnut Park and stopped at Vettures for lunch beforehand. The restaurant was empty when we got there. We decided to split a meatball sub and some fries.
The meatballs were tasty, but the sub was so sloppy that I had to eat my half with a fork. There was no way I was going to be able to pick it up & not end up wearing it. The fries were hot and crispy. Lunch with a drink ran us $14.

We ended up at Gino’s Pizza for lunch today. Loren got a half Italian sub & salad and I went for the cheesesteak.
Loren said the Italian sub was pretty good. For half a sandwich, it was plenty to fill him up.
I found the cheesesteak to be a bit on the dry side. It was more than I could eat in one sitting. The roll was really big, so Loren ended up just eating some of the cheesesteak out of it. Total bill with a drink was $17.
